In the Leningrad Region, they plan to begin the reconstruction of three checkpoints on the border with Finland and Estonia at once
It is supposed to modernize MAPP “Ivangorod”, “Svetlogorsk” and “Lingonberry”.
In “Ivangorod” will expand the parking lot to reduce tension on the bridge at the exit. It is assumed that the infrastructure of the point will fit into the historical appearance of the city. The pedestrian part at this point was improved at the expense of the European Union. They plan to complete the development of plans for updating this MAPP by the end of this year.
In the framework of the cooperation program with South-East Finland, over € 3 million was allocated for updating the Svetogorsk MAPP. New funds were built for these funds and equipment was purchased. An update plan should also be developed by the end of this year.
At the same time, an application for the creation of a project for MAPP “Lingonberry” should be put up for competition. According to the project, new buildings and premises for customs and border guards, as well as a bus room will be built there. Planned increase in lanes. The checkpoint will be equipped with modern equipment.
A total of 2.2 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for work. They are planning to begin the construction and installation phase in 2020-2021, and complete it in 2022-2023.
